FLOM’s furious players surrounded referee Mathen Sundar and Asyraf A. R. at the final whistle of their 1-1 draw with Triceps after they had been denied two precious points amid huge controversy here in Hart House Stadium. TV replays showed Triceps’ defender Kong had played the ball as covered the goal post, with the hosts leading through Fazry’s second goal of the season. If penalty were given, FLOM could have given an opportunity to lead by 2-1.
But the far-side linesman, Asyraf decided otherwise, awarding the Triceps to play on.
Despite FLOM’s domination on the possession, they were unable to force a winner, with Kong and Calvin producing a series of outstanding saves.
The result means FLOM is still in the bottom three, alongside with Harimau FC and Biceps.
